About Us
The Apex Garden Club has been active for several years. We are serious about what we grow, but not serious about how we grow it! We are a fun, informal, non-affiliated club in North Carolina and we love to exchange ideas. The club has seen many changes and people have come and gone, but our passion for the Apex area and for gardening in its many forms has persisted. We meet once a month on the first Monday of each month at 7pm in designated members' homes (see meeting schedule) or in a meeting room at PEAK UMC on North Salem Street. We gather every year to swap plants, make wreaths, listen to various speakers, and just to enjoy each other's company! Every year, we donate a portion of the money from our annual plant sale to various causes/charities. We also maintain the planters and large garden on the right side of the Apex depot in downtown Apex (Chamber of Commerce building). Many commercial entities in the area donated their time, materials, and plants to help our club accomplish this beautification goal, and we are happy to have the opportunity to give back to the community through this garden project.
